Registration, check-in and Bib pickup will again be held at the Historic Ironwood Memorial Building (213 S. Marquette St.) this year (see Maps for location) SISU Ski Fest's official race headquarters. Identification must be brought to registration.
Friday Jan. 11, 2013
Registration and bib/packet pickup will open from 4:00pm - 10:00pm.
Ski Expo open 4:00 - 8:00pm
Saturday Jan. 12,2013
No 42K or 21K race day registrations. Bib/packet pickup from 7:00am - 10:45am (for 42K & 21K racers). Registration for Taste N Tour (limited to FIRST 200 REGISTRANTS!) and Jr. SISU will continue till noon at the Memorial Building.
Bib and Packet pick-up Saturday will continue until 1 hour before event:
Ski Expo
Ski Expo will be held at the Ironwood Memorial Building on Friday January 11, 2013 from 4 - 8 pm and Saturday January 12 from 8:30am - 4pm. Pasties and Mojakka for all racers will be served there also on Saturday. Expo booths available for $75 for Fri & Sat, $30 for Non-Profits.

Post - Race Food
Food will be available for the racers at the Memorial Building following the events. Come and enjoy some hot Mojakka (Finnish stew), pasties, cookies, beverages and camaraderie with friends after the race. We encourage your family and friends to dine at our local restaurants.
Parking
Parking is available throughout the downtown Ironwood area and parking lots will be marked “SISU PARKING”(view Maps). If you park downtown before the race, you will need to take the shuttle buses provided by Gogebic County Transit to the start at ABR trails or Norrie Park. Limited parking is available at ABR, none at Norrie Park. It is strongly recommended that you park downtown and use the shuttle.
Transportation
Four shuttle buses will run from 7:45am until 4:30pm between the Gogebic County Transit bus station at 235 E. Mcleod, kitty corner to the Ironwood Memorial building (see Maps) to the various start areas. These buses will shuttle skiers back and forth every 15 minutes. After 12:00pm and until 4pm, there will be bus service back and forth but on a more limited basis between ABR and the bus station. All participants must carry their skis vertically while boarding, riding and de-boarding in a safe and controlled fashion.
Please give yourself plenty of time to get to the start line.
21K &42K Races
Four shuttle buses will run from 7:45am to 12noon between the bus station (235 E. Mcleod, kitty corner to the Ironwood Memorial building) and ABR trails. These buses will shuttle skiers back and forth every 15 minutes. After 12:00pm and until 4pm, there will be bus service back and forth but on a more limited basis between ABR and the bus station. The bus will drop off skiers at the ABR ticket booth.
Taste N Tour
Participants will be bused to Norrie Park from the bus station (235 E. Mcleod, kitty corner to the Ironwood Memorial building) between 12:00 and 1:15 pm. Taste N Tour begins at 1:00 and skiers must leave Norrie Park food stop by 1:15pm to make it downtown before dark. All Taste N Tour participants must park downtown and ride the shuttle to Norrie Park.
Junior SISU Races
Racers will have to provide their own means to get to starting areas. Shuttle service will be available from the bus station (235 E. Mcleod, kitty corner to the Ironwood Memorial building) to bring you back to either starting areas after the race.
Awards and Awards Ceremony
Top three overall winners (Classic and Freestyle) of the 42K SISU Marathon & 21K Heikki Lunta Half Marathon in each category will be presented at the "Finnish line". Presentation at NOON for the 42K winners and 2 PM for the 21K winners.
Awards Ceremony will once again be hosted at the Beautifully Restored Ironwood Theatre after the race. Doors open at 4:00pm with the ceremony running from 5:00 - 6:30pm. Individual age group awards, photo slide show of the race, great door prizes, refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Door Prize drawing will be at 5:30, must be present to win!
Conga Se Menne which was well received last year will again be returning to perform on Saturday night at 7:00 pm - after the Awards Ceremony. This is a free performance!
All SISU racers, families, volunteers and locals are invited to hear this Finnish Reggae band. Conga Se Menne's musical style ranges from Blues, Funk, Latin, Reggae, Rock,
